We believe that the divine presence is everywhere . Rule of Benedict
We are the Catholic Benedictine Sisters of St. Mary Monastery.
Originally from Nauvoo, Illinois, the Benedictine Sisters moved to the Quad-City area in 2001.
Here, we serve in parishes, college campuses, homeless shelters, food pantries
and in other ministries.
We also offer group and individual spiritual retreats at Benet House Retreat Center,
where we welcome people of all faiths.
As monastic Benedictine Sisters, we seek God together in monastic community.
Benedictine Sisters live together with the purpose of seeking and serving God as one.
We come together 3 times daily to pray the Liturgy of the Hours,
and we are committed to Benedictine community life together.
